Your role Our Kiruna Mine Geology department is looking for a Mine Geologist focused on 3D modelling, block modelling, and cross-departmental collaborations. In this role, you will work closely with our mine planning, rock engineering, and survey crews, as well as production operations, external drilling contractors and commercial laboratories. This is an environment where collaboration, reliability, and automated innovations are highly valued. Responsibilities include providing updated production block models, as well as 3D geological models, based on face mappings, core logging, and assay data to ensure high-confidence ore body alignment with stope designs and mining plans. You will deliver accurate grade control data to mine planners and engineers for blasting and dilution management. Additionally, you will handle and validate large datasets, support ore tracking and grade control processes, perform reconciliation analyses between geological models and mining outcomes, and collaborate closely with mine planners, engineers and production teams to continuously improve model accuracy and data quality. A responsible, flexible, and solution-oriented approach will be important in your daily work. To be eligible for the role, you need to have:  Preferably M.Sc. and minimum B.Sc. in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, or equivalent Proficiency in 3D modelling softwares (like Leapfrog Geo & Edge or Datamine) Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Swedish is highly desirable. A valid driver’s license (equivalent to Swedish B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles) It is advantageous if you have: Proficiency in the Deswik software Experience of resource estimation Previous experience of geological mapping, core logging, and/or managing assay QA/QC databases Previous experience from underground mining operations Experience from leadership roles, such as in exploration/infill drilling programs Additional information We strive for a fair and objective recruitment process.
