We are looking for a database engineer who wants to help with designing and maintaining scalable data models while ensuring accuracy and consistency. You will Primarily contribute to the architecture, maintenance and support of our Oracle 26ai database Main responsibilities Perform Oracle Database administration activities, including upgrades, backups, and restorations. Provide senior expertise on Oracle database technology to other teams Support in deploying services with focus on high availability, high performance, low latency, and scalability. Design and improve database architecture for performance, resilience, and cost efficiency Ensure database environments comply with internal security, backup, and compliance requirements. Give support to others on these topics. Resolve incidents and troubleshoot both infrastructure issues and PL/SQL code Participate in the weekly DBA on-call rotation, acting as the primary database on-duty contact for critical incidents and operational issues. Establish and maintain clear on-call and disaster-recovery procedures Lead the investigation and resolution of serious Oracle database incidents. Coordinate with Oracle Support when specialist assistance is required Professional skills Required o Strong Oracle DBA experience, at least five years of experience o Experience with Exadata architecture or other RAC setups o Proactive monitoring (OEM) and incident resolution o Strong knowledge of backup and recovery management o Knowledge of relational database design o How to optimize performance using for example data partitioning and SQL tuning o You have worked with scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications o Excellent written and verbal communication in English Not required, but beneficial: o Experience from Exadata Database Service on Exascale infrastructure (ExaDB-XS) in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) o Scripting in Bash o Automated configuration of environments using tools like Ansible o Experience from other database systems such as PostgreSQL o Experience with AWS and on-premises hosting o Experience from online marketing and/or e-commerce Personal qualities · You quickly pick up an understanding of the business you are working with and can convert that knowledge into technical solutions that fulfil client needs and system requirements. · You act, are self-driven and are used to share your knowledge with others · You like to think outside the box and contribute with innovative ideas · Attention to detail · Curiosity and willingness to learn continuously · Team player that is friendly, organized, helpful and structured Why work at Tradedoubler (NYORDA AB)?
